Reason #595 To Hire A Photographer For Your Kid's Party | Event Photographer in Houston
I have now hosted a total of ELEVEN total kid’s Birthday parties combined for my two children. Yes, that means I have pieced together 11 different guests lists, purchased 11 cakes (actually 9 if I’m counting the two parties I attempted to make the cake myself), followed 11 different themes, and smiled the cheesiest uncontrollable smile when my babies blew out their birthday candles.
There’s so much effort put into your kid’s party to make it the most special and memorable celebration. You piece together your Pinterest boards, find the best location, and work hard to give your child the absolute best.
Once all of the decorations are in place, and your guests arrive to partake in all of the festivities with their gleeful squeals, the fun truly begins. Your child is ecstatic to see so many of their friends. They’re met with giant hugs and overwhelming excitement to spend the next 3 or so hours together. And you, mom, deserve to be in the middle of it all!
More importantly, your child deserves to see that you were there when they look back on these special days. They deserve to see that you were smiling right along with them, and happy to see them so happy and enjoying their time surrounded by so much love. The last thing you should have to worry about is handing your camera off to be in the pictures. Being able to relax and enjoy your child’s party should come standard.
As the lead photographer for my kid’s Birthday parties, I am always quickly reminded of how much easier it would be if someone else handled the picture taking. My daughter’s most recent party a couple of weeks ago was a prime example of that. While I was busy getting all of the food set up, welcoming guests, and getting things ready for their little activities, there were so many photos I was wishing were being made. So many moments I wish I hadn’t missed. I’m going to do better next year. I’m hiring a photographer to come in and take that responsibility off of my plate so that I can be fully present on my child’s big day.
That means, I, mom, get to be in the photos to further prove I was there! Or even better, the entire family gets to be in photos! Together!
And even those moments when mom isn’t around, your whole family gets to know just what all went on at the party. The funny antics, the dance parties, the giggles, and maybe even some tears because… well… you know. Parties. ;)
